So last weekend I went bowling for the first time in a long time. I wasn't really that nervous though, because my date just got home from a mission. So even if he WAS good at bowling, he's probably lost his touch because he hasn't played for a while. These were my thoughts walking in to All Star Lanes Saturday night.
After carefully selecting my bowling ball (getting the right poundage and finger holes) I stepped up and threw down everything that off-track bowling taught me all those years in elementary school.
Line up your target
Take a few steps forward
Bend your left leg...and release the secret weapon in your right hand
Let me be the first to tell you this is easier said than done. Let's just say, my hot pink bowling ball became very acquainted with the gutter very quickly. Meanwhile, Trevor is not only kicking my trash, but he's doing it with style. He's throwing down the spin action...
So I decided I needed to do something different...switch things up a bit...So I had him show me "the spin." I quickly decided that I should stick to what I knew best.
I walked in to the bowling alley feeling pretty confident that I hadn't lost my touch from 5th grade. I was trash talking and willing to throw down a bet. But after bowling 4 straight games in a row, it doesn't really matter what the final score is right?
It matters that we all had fun!
